Price Ranges

Price ranges in EA Sports FC Ultimate Team refer to the range of prices within which a user can set their items for sale on the transfer market.

Price ranges are implemented by EA Sports to manage and regulate the in-game economy and maintain balance within the game's Ultimate Team mode. Price ranges set a minimum and maximum price limit for each item in the market. This prevents extreme inflation or deflation of prices and helps to ensure that the game's economy remains stable for everyone. It also aims to prevent exploitation by users who might manipulate prices for their own benefit.

Here's how the price ranges function in the Ultimate Team game mode:

  • Minimum and Maximum Limits: Each item available in the marketplace, such as player cards, has a predetermined price range set by EA. This range dictates the lowest and highest prices at which the item can be sold.
  • Dynamic Adjustments: EA Sports periodically adjusts these price ranges based on factors such as player demand, availability, and other market conditions. For example, if a player card becomes too scarce, its price range might be adjusted upwards to prevent it from becoming overly expensive.
  • Market Regulation: Price ranges help to regulate the marketplace, preventing items from being sold at excessively high or low prices. This ensures a fair and balanced experience for all players participating in the Ultimate Team mode.
  • Economic Stability: By controlling the prices of items within the game, EA Sports aims to maintain a stable in-game economy. This stability is crucial for the long-term enjoyment of the game and prevents disruptions caused by rampant inflation or deflation.

History

EA Sports introduced the Price Ranges feature in the FIFA 15 Ultimate Team on March 9, 2015, for the first time.

Once this feature was activated, all items, including players, consumables, and club items, have received a price range that set the highest and lowest coin prices at which each item could be sold on the transfer market.
